Most websites have more than one important action they want visitors to take. For example, an e-commerce site might want people to buy products, but also fill out a form for higher-value or custom orders.
It’s very important to note that Pathmonk usually works best when there is one clear conversion goal to optimize for. That said, there are setups that allow Pathmonk to support websites with multiple important actions, without losing focus or performance.
Option 1: having two goals in the microexperiences
For businesses that want to use two different conversion goals in their microexperiences, a secondary goal can be added after onboarding is completed. This is how it will look like once it's added:

⚠️ For first-time clients, Pathmonk strongly recommends starting with one conversion goal only. This allows us to isolate success factors, measure uplift accurately, and validate results. After one or two months, if the primary goal has been validated, a secondary goal can then be incorporated.
Learn here how to set a secondary goal.
Option 2: separate accounts for different parts of your website
If different sections of your website serve very different purposes, you can use separate Pathmonk accounts for each one. This works well when:
- some pages have much lower intent than others
- they serve completely different audiences, or
- some sections are being targeted by a specific campaign.
In these cases, we recommend setting up a separate account for each section, with its own main conversion goal.
For example, if you run a mainly B2C e-commerce, you can have a main Pathmonk account focused on direct purchases, with micro-experiences and messaging designed for B2C buyers.
If you also have a few landing pages aimed at B2B bulk buyers, and those pages are strategically important, a cleaner setup is to use a separate Pathmonk account. That account will focus on a its own goal, like filling out a form or contacting your team for a custom request, with messaging tailored to that audience.
Customers who choose this option can receive a discount on their secondary account. If this setup makes sense for you, please talk to our team to discuss a custom offer at support@pathmonk.com.
This option will require a custom setup in Google Tag Manager, since you will have two (or more) Pathmonk snippets that should run only on the specific parts of the website they are meant for. Make sure to include and exclude pages correctly so tracking does not overlap or get duplicated, and each account only tracks the traffic it is supposed to.
