Once your Pathmonk tracking snippet has been verified, you’ll be asked to set up your conversion goal during onboarding.

If you’re not yet familiar with what a conversion goal is, check this article first: ? What is a conversion goal?
Step 1: Choose your goal
The system will automatically show the goal you selected earlier in the onboarding process.

For example, if you initially chose Book demo or appointment, that option will appear by default.
If you want to change it, click Choose other to see all available options:
Book demo or appointment
Phone call
Purchase
Start trial
Collect leads
Other goals

⚠️ Warning: A conversion goal is not the same as a completed conversion. It represents the step before the final action — for example, visiting the right product page or opening the booking form.
Successful conversions are measured only when a tracked event confirms that the action has been completed.
Step 2: Select your implementation method
After confirming your goal, you’ll choose how you want Pathmonk to guide visitors toward that goal.
This is called the implementation method — it defines how the action will actually happen on your site.

Tip: Always start with the easiest option that fits your setup, and choose the one closest to revenue.
For example, between a newsletter signup and booking an appointment, the appointment is usually more valuable. If you already have a landing page for booking an appointment, this will be the easiest implementation.
Let's explore one by one:
Book demo or appointment
Choose one of these methods:
Redirect to your existing booking page (recommended):
The fastest option. Visitors who engage with a microexperience will be redirected to your current demo or meeting form, such as https://www.redpoints.com/request-demo/. You will be asked to provide the url where you host your booking form.Use Pathmonk’s built-in booking flow:
Pathmonk can host the booking flow directly inside the microexperience. This provides the most optimized experience for conversion, but it requires additional steps. This option is commonly known as qualification flow or product selector. Follow this tutorial to create one.Embed your existing booking tool:
You can also add tools like Calendly or HubSpot Meetings directly inside the microexperience.
Phone call
Phone calls are harder to measure accurately and not ideal for A/B testing. If your main goal is to talk with prospects, we recommend using Book demo or Collect leads instead.
However, if you want to increase calls, you can choose this option. At the moment, only the “Receive direct calls” method is supported — visitors can tap to call from their mobile or desktop device.
If you choose this option, you will be required to provide the following information:

Redirect type: Pre-set to “Telephone”, can also be “URL”
Phone number: Entered in the format tel:// followed by the number.
Redirect for desktop: A fallback URL (e.g., a contact page) can be provided, since most desktop visitors cannot make direct calls.
Goal name: A descriptive label for internal reference
Purchase
Designed for e-commerce and online stores.
You can choose:
Sell products using a product selector: This option uses Pathmonk’s interactive product selector to guide visitors through a series of questions. Based on their answers, users are directed to the most relevant product or category page.
Ideal for stores with multiple products or categories.
Helps reduce friction by narrowing down choices and highlighting the best fit.
Commonly used for improving product discovery and help with decision fatigue.
Full setup of the product selector is explained in this video.
Promote a product (redirect): This option redirects visitors directly to a specific product page.
Recommended for e-commerce sites with a single main product, or where the majority of sales come from one bestseller/high-revenue item.
Easy to configure — simply provide the URL of the product page.
Works similarly to the redirect option for “Book Demo / Appointment.”
Best when a single hero product drives most of the business.
Start trial
If your goal is to drive free trial signups, select one of these:
Redirect to your trial signup page (recommended):
Quick to configure — just paste your signup URL.Collect user details inside the microexperience:
Pathmonk can display a trial form directly on your website.Trigger a custom action (advanced):
For example, when clicking “Start trial,” Pathmonk can trigger a JavaScript event in your app or CRM.
Collect leads
To capture contact details from your visitors, you can:
Redirect to your existing lead generation page (recommended):
The simplest option — no extra setup required.Use Pathmonk’s built-in lead form:
Capture names, emails, or other details inside a microexperience.Use advanced qualification flow:
Add questions to filter leads by intent or industry before showing the form.Gated download:
Require an email before downloading content like an ebook or report.Embed your own form:
Integrate your existing HubSpot, Marketo, or Typeform form directly into Pathmonk.
Other goals
For use cases that don’t fit into the categories above:
Quiz or product selector (qualification flow)
Newsletter signup (email + name or email only)
Untagged download (no form required)
Trigger a custom action (JS)
⚠️ Remember: Your conversion goal defines what you want to achieve, but it’s not a completed conversion yet. To track success, you’ll need to create a tracked event (e.g., a thank-you page, form submission, or pixel) once your goal is live.
