What is a microexperience?

Modified on Wed, 19 Nov at 12:01 PM

A microexperience is a small, personalized interaction powered by Pathmonk on a website that guides visitors toward taking action

Instead of showing the same message or pop-up to everyone, Pathmonk uses AI to understand what each visitor is looking for and then triggers a microexperience that fits their intent, all in real time.

Microexperiences can take many forms, such as:

  • A testimonial that builds trust when someone is comparing options

  • A short video that explains the product when someone is exploring

  • A free trial or demo invitation when a visitor is ready to convert

  • A gentle prompt to stay or download something before they leave

Each microexperience is contextual, meaning it appears at the right time and in the right place based on user behavior.

Microexperiences can Microexperiences cannot
  • Learn from the actions of your visitors and make adjustments to maximize conversions
  • Appear in a specific order or at a pre-determined interval (the AI controls the order and frequency)
  • Extend from the Contextual Menu, allowing your visitors to interact with additional resources
  • Pop-up in areas besides the location where the contextual menu is anchored
  • Provide consistent and seamless information in small, easy-to-read cards
  • Extend beyond pre-defined borders, which may block vital information on your web page

How are microexperiences created?

When you activate Pathmonk, the platform automatically generates an initial set of microexperiences using AI. These are created by analyzing the existing content on your website — such as key pages, value propositions, CTAs, and messaging — to produce tailored experiences that fit your business.

Once the first batch is generated, you can manually edit, refine, or fully customize any microexperience to match your tone, goals, or branding.
