Website URL Goal Tracking Formatting

Modified on Thu, 25 Apr at 11:18 AM

Using the correct format for Website URL Goals can ensure a flawless installation and Pathmonk tracking results

The Pathmonk Web URL goal-tracking option is by far the most popular and reliable choice for tracking conversion goals.  Because the URL is only reached by completing the desired action (signing up for a newsletter, submitting a contact form, etc.) you know each and every conversion is accurate.

When it comes time to add your URL to the site, the goal must match the URL exactly as it is on the site.

If your website is www.companysite.com and your thank you page is www.companysite.com/thankyou, confirm the URL whitelisted in your account is www.companysite.com

www.companysite.com
and

companysite.com

are not the same website and including or excluding the www. from the whitelisted domains on your site will impact how the Web URL goal tracking functions.

For support in changing the whitelisted domain, you can update the setting in the Domains section of your settings or contact the Pathmonk support team via chat.
