How using 3rd party tools impact the Pathmonk A/B testing results

When connecting any 3rd party goal (Hubspot, Calendly, or Zapier) to Pathmonk for web goal tracking, the data will be visible in your Intelligence data as a conversion.

Accounts with A/B testing active will be able to see an overall number of these goals that were completed, however, due to privacy and security measures in place by each 3rd party, data regarding the A/B group will not be available in Pathmomk Intelligence.

Example:

A Zapier goal is set as the tracking goal for submitting a contact us form.
A visitor comes to the site, www.site.com, and is in the A group where Pathmonk is visible.

Their Buyer Journey activity is monitored by Pathmonk, and they click on the Contact Us form.

The visitor clicks the submit button, the action triggers the Zap to fire, and the visitor continues browsing the site as usual.

The goal is completed outside of www.site.com environment because the submission triggered a Zap that sent data to Pathmonk.

To ensure the goals for an account are associated with the correct control group, Pathmonk recommends utilizing a direct form of website goal tracking like a Thank You URL, Pixel or a Pathmonk-generated Thank You Page. All of these options will provide an end-to-end detail of the visitor's journey, providing the A/B data to the correct control group.
